My name is Dané (Dan-yay) Hiniker. I offer both birth and postpartum doula services in the Southcentral MN area.
Growing up as the 3rd child in a family of 12 gave me lots of experience around labor, birth, and the needs of a new mama.
My fascination with birth started with the birth of my siblings and animals while growing up on the farm.When I was privileged to be my mom’s doula for the births of my last 2 siblings, I knew that this was something I would pursue. Fast forward a number of years and I was given the privilege of doula for my sister, and I knew it was time to move forward with training and certification.
I am trained as a birth doula through Birth Arts International and working on completing the last steps for certification. The need for support doesn’t end with the birth, so to further serve the needs of clients I am adding postpartum doula care. I am available to assist you/your family with support and care during labor and delivery, after the baby is here, or both depending on your needs.
